Diet: Is Food Your Friend or Foe?
Dr Jennifer considers a healthy diet to be one of the most important lifestyle changes parents can make to enhance the well-being of their children. She sees great value in teaching children about digestive health and how to listen to their body’s needs.
Dietary Recommendations
Dr Jennifer is extremely passionate about the benefits of organic and fresh ‘in season’ foods. She advocates a well-balanced diet that includes natural, unprocessed foods, and excludes ‘non foods’—highly processed items that contain any number of preservatives and chemical additives.
She also suggests parents investigate the benefits of delaying the introduction of wheat and diary for infants, in order to minimise the likelihood of allergies and sensitivities.
